A 4- session 60 min each series that offers skills in mindfulness, meditation, and stress management taking into account unique life challenges.
Learn mindfulness through the practice of specific skills that calm and focus your mind to assist in reducing stress and anxiety and helps in overall life satisfaction.

About Mindfulness, Meditation, Energy & Sound Healing

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION
A type of meditation which involves paying attention to the present moment, deliberately and non-judgmentally. It is intended to develop skills of paying attention to ourselves and the world and encourages compassion, acceptance and kindness in meeting whatever is found there. It also brings awareness and presence to a person, helping one to avoid functioning on “autopilot.”
When practicing mindfulness meditation, the key is to simply become aware of and consciously notice what is happening in the body and mind, without trying to change it. It is about cultivating an attitude of unconditional presence in the moment and accepting whatever is happening. When mindfulness meditation is practiced formally, the breath is usually used as an anchor for the attention. By following the breath, the mind has something to focus on and gently be brought back to every time it wanders. Attention may also be focused on physical sensations in the body or on the senses of touch, smell, taste, hearing or sight.

There have been more than 1,500 studies conducted on the effect of mindfulness meditation, as it has been found to be beneficial for boosting the immune system, managing pain, decreasing blood pressure and heart rate, improving the quality of sleep, increasing energy levels, sharpening mental function, elevating and stabilizing mood, improving relationships and increasing resilience.

REIKI ENERGY HEALING is a form of energy healing that restores balance and harmony to body, mind and soul.  It is performed totally clothed by placing a series of hand positions over or slightly above the body.   You are not required to believe in the technique but it is helpful if   the receiver is open to accepting healing energy.  Reiki energy is a powerful technique to reduce stress, provide relaxation and aid in the healing process and is ideal for those receiving cancer treatments,  those who have physical and emotional trauma or for any challenging mind, body or soul transitions.         

SOUND HEALING/VIBRO-ACOUSTICAL THERAPY
Using the media of sound and vibration as tools for healing enables the realignment of natural body rhythms. Sound healing may include the use of
Vibro-Acoustic equipment, Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, tuning forks, rattles, and drums. Sound therapy provides clinically proven brainwave healing for effective stress reduction, relaxation and healing.

Every cell, organ, and bone in our body has its own resonant frequency. Together they make up a composite frequency ( like the instruments of an orchestra) and when any one of these are out of tune,  it will affect the whole body.  Through the principle of resonance it is possible to use sound to bring the body back into harmony.
